Annie unrolled her yoga mat for the first time as a college student, and she immediately fell in love with invigorating vinyasa classes. As a distance runner, she initially viewed yoga as a way to improve flexibility and complement her training runs. However, with the development of a more regular practice, she noticed that the benefits of yoga were much more than physical. Yoga became her primary form of self-care and a way for her to cultivate a sense of presence, gratitude, and peace in her life.
Annie believes yoga should be accessible to people of all body types and backgrounds, and she was eager to deepen her practice and share her love of yoga with those around her. She completed her 200-hour power yoga teacher training at CorePower in the summer of 2016. Her POWERFlow classes are dynamic yet gentle, and designed to empower students to feel strong, safe, and balanced.
Off the mat, Annie is a social worker, and in her free time she loves reading, baking, and running. She is so excited to be part of the Acorn community and share her practice with you!
